Life is like that. To get beautiful blooms, a rose bush has to be pruned. A field of corn grows from grains of corn that have died and been used as seed. A life that has been shattered by the struggles of this world can have new growth out of that pain. Just when you think you are devastated beyond hope, healing begins. God uses the things that would otherwise break us to make us stronger.
This life is full of suffering-situations that leave our lives broken and our hearts discouraged. You have a choice how to respond to those situations. You can let them destroy you, steal your joy and ruin your life-or you can let God work through the situation for you and bring about healing in your life.
You can have that kind of faith. You can have a relationship with a God who can take the ashes of your life and make something beautiful grow from it. Is your life in turmoil? Have circumstances become so bleak that you don't know if you will ever have peace or joy again? God can do it. He can give you peace, restore your joy, give you hope. He will do it. All you have to do is ask Him.
Does it seem Hopeless?
Maybe your spouse wants nothing to do with God. Maybe your child is rebelling against you and God. Maybe your friend is so caught up in the drug scene you doubt he will ever be clean and sober again. Maybe you think there is no hope for them.
Thankfully, God can change even the hardest heart. Consider Saul, persecutor of Christians, self-proclaimed enemy of Jesus Christ and His followers. Now meet Paul, author of 14 book of the New Testament, evangelist, missionary and martyr same man, different heart so different, God changed his name. The people who knew Saul as he held the coats of Stephen's persecutors probably would have never imagined Paul would one day proclaim Christ to the nations. Even Christians who remembered Saul didn't believe he had actually been changed at first, but his conversion was radical they were soon convinced. He had an encounter with the living God on the road to Damascus, and from that day on he was never the same. God can change anybody.
What about you? Maybe you think you are the exception to the rule. You look back at the things you have done in your life and wince. " No way can God forgive that," you think. No matter what you have done or where you have been, it is never too late to give your life to God. There is no one He cannot forgive. there is no deed that His blood can't cover. He can heal you, make you whole, and restore your life. There is hope for every person who comes to God. It's never too late.
This Time It's Too Much.
You repeat the same mistakes --- over --- and over. It's as if something has a grip on you, and you can't break it. You want to change, but for some reason, you can't.
Ever feel that way? Hopeless? Well it's not. You can change. With God's help you can be the person you want to be.
It's true. God has done it for others. He can help change you.
Ever feel that way?
You simply exist? A random series of events with no real purpose? Is that you?
Guess what? You're not alone. You just feel like you are.
The truth is --- you were born for a reason. Like all mankind, you have a Purpose. More important, there is a God, and He has a plan for you.
